It might sound like a bit of negativity, but I discovered I am more mature than I might prefer. And my positivity might be a bit offensive, so if it is, check back next time!
Creativity and the ability to bring new ideas to the marketplace drive the economy. It is cool to watch progress unfold before our very eyes.
It was this development in January which caused me to think I was getting old. I stayed up late to see the lunar eclipse! Turns out it started an hour later than I thought. Someone gave me bad data.
WARNING: This is where my opinion might begin being offensive. Stop reading if you might be thin skinned!!
As I watched the moon become disfigured, I thought to myself, this is one of the coolest inventions ever! As I thought that, I considered King Solomon's words in Ecclesiastes. He wrote long ago, 'there is nothing new under the sun.' When I first read it, I thought it was a farce. For example, Solomon didn't have a dishwasher or the internet.
Then after months of considering his words, I had an epiphany. Everything we believe is new began as a thought. And if the thought is what is necessary for the fulfillment of an invention, where did the thought initiate.
As I began to consider it, I concluded God initiates the thoughts and shares them with humans who often, arrogantly assert it began within themselves. But if it began with God and He invented the Sun, then there really is nothing new under the Sun.
All of this to say, He invented the lunar eclipse which I found very interesting before I passed out and missed the blood moon for which I saw a number of pictures the following morning.
What I did see was a full moon hovering over traffic, behind the trees in the broad daylight.
As you consider new inventions, consider for yourself if there is really nothing new under the sun. And in the meantime, have a great week! Keep the faith! kt
